Hul Kimhuy: We’ll fight till the end

Boeung Ket were held to a 0-0 draw with Angkor Tiger in the Cambodian Premier League on Saturday last week – leaving them twelve points behind league leaders Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng.

After the return of the Cambodian Premier League from the international break, Boeung Ket secured only a single win from their last four matches.

Hul Kimhuy explained Boeung Ket’s struggle due to the absence of many players due to match ban from an incident in a 1-0 loss to NagaWorld.

“It’s a tough match as well as a good match for the fans of both sides. We did everything to win, but luck wasn’t with us,” the goalkeeper told boeungket.com.

“They gave us pressure in the last minutes of the match because we were a bit tired. They brought in new players, and it made us in troubles some time. They are dangerous players.

“Following the return of the Cambodian Premier League, we faced NagaWorld. We lost to them, but what’s even worse is a lot of our players got red cards. They are banned for many matches, so it makes us difficult to prepare a team without them.”

Despite his side’s disappointing results in the recent matches, Kimhuy insisted that Boeung Ket still stand a chance to win the league title.

“We still have a chance to fight for top 4, but it won’t be easy to challenge for the title this season. Whatever, we will fight till the end and do everything to win it,” he added.

“We are many points behind Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng, but we won’t give up and will do everything for the club and especially for our supporters.

“Our focus on the league remains the same. No matter what happens, we are committed and giving our all. We are Boeung Ket, and we will fight.”
